Kısaltılmış Sıfat Cümleciği: V-ing mi V3 mü?
İsimden sonra gelen boşlukta 'which / who + fiil' kısaltılmış olabilir. İsim işi yapıyorsa V-ing: 'a network of routes connecting China with Europe' (= which connected). İsim işten etkileniyorsa V3: 'information acquired during the day' (= which was acquired). Boşluktan sonra nesne varsa genellikle V-ing, nesne yoksa ve 'by' varsa V3.
YDS Tuzağı: 'to + V1' kısaltması yalnızca 'the first, the last, the only' ve amaç bildiren yapılardan sonra gelir: 'the first woman to win the prize'.
